What's the Difference Between WIDFIX and WIDFIX PLUS?
The main differences between the WIDFIX and the WIDFIX PLUS are the impact resistance and the extension. The structure of the WIDFIX is designed specifically for booster seats that can be secured with a 3-point seatbelt. While the WIDFIX PLUS, has a improved steel thickness, enhances crash resistance, and stability that is compatible with all size groups and car seats. Including infant car seats, ISOFIX infant carrier that is secured with a harness (5-point belt), and booster seats that secure with a 3-point belt. The maximum extension per side is 70mm for the WIDFIX and 85 mm for the WIDFIX PLUS.

WIDFIX ISOFIX extenders are divided into two specifications, one is WIDFIX and the other is WIDFIX PLUS. The main differences are as follows:
WIDFIX ISOFIX PLUS extender metal is thicker than the WIDFIX ISOFIX and Rivemove.
The metal of the WIDFIX ISOFIX extender has an ED coating, and part of it is stainless steel, so the entire extension will not rust.
WIDFIX ISOFI extender has better impact resistance.

In the forward and back facing car seats that have a harness / five-point belt, the lower anchors must withstand a high amount of impact. The development team strengthened the design and created the WIDFIX PLUS for car seats with a harness / five-point belt.
WIDFIX is for forward facing car seats with three-point belt has the energy transferred through the lower anchors and the safety belt, so the strength needed from the lower anchors is decreased.
The WIDFIX ISOFIX side-shift extender has wider car adaptability than the Rivemove slide rail. The displacement mechanism of the WIDFIX ISOFIX side-shift extender is not limited by the number of segments, has better displacement elasticity, and can be adjusted according to the distance between the car seat and the door.
In addition, the end of the bracket of the WIDFIX ISOFIX side-shift extender is designed with rounded edges and bevels, so that even if the foam on both sides of the car seat back is protruding, it will not be easily blocked. If parents are still worried about inconsistent specifications, it is recommended that they go to the site to try out samples.
PERO developed a custom fitting auxiliary cushion for the WIDFIX ISOFIX extender – the WIDFIX Comfort Cushion.
